President Harding appoints Benjamin Alvord as “Assistant The Adjutant General, with the rank of Brigadier General for the period of four years beginning August 16, 1922 in the Regular Army of the United States.” Signed at the conclusion by Harding and countersigned by Secretary of War John W. Weeks. The blue seal affixed to the lower left is creased but fully intact. In fine condition, with slight creasing and scattered soiling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
