John Bell Hood

Confederate general (1831–1879) known for his recklessness who commanded forces at important battles including Second Bull Run, Antietam, and Gettysburg. Scarce ink signature, “J. B. Hood, Genl.,” on an off-white 3.75 x .25 slip. Matted with an engraved portrait of Hood to an overall size of 7.5 x 10. In fine condition, with overall toning and trivial feathering to ink. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
