(Winsor McCay, circa 1914) Rare original drawing featuring the title character from the pioneering early cartoon Gertie the Dinosaur, showing “Gertie” and “Her Baby” adorably standing side-by-side, signed in the lower left in pencil, “Winsor McCay.” Accomplished in graphite on an off-white 5 x 6.5 sheet of Hotel Bossert stationery. Character images measure 1 x 1.75 and 4.75 x 4.25. In fine condition, with a central horizontal fold and uniform toning.
