John Quincy Adams

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, 14 x 18.5, April 24, 1828. President Adams appoints Francis H. Gregory as “a Master Commandant in the Navy in the Service of the United States.” Boldly signed at the conclusion by Adams and countersigned by Secretary of the Navy Samuel L. Southard. The crisply embossed white paper seal affixed at the bottom remains fully intact. Intersecting folds, some light stains to edges and body, and uniformly trimmed edges, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
