Thomas Bailey Aldrich

American poet and editor (1836–1907). Autograph poem signed “Thomas Bailey Aldrich,” one page, 5.25 x 7.5, October 1904. Aldrich pens his poem entitled “Identity.” In part: “Somewhere—in desolate wind-swept space— / In Twilight-land, in No-man’s-land— / Two hurrying Shapes met face to face, / And bade each other stand.” Double-matted and framed with an unsigned engraved portrait bearing a facsimile signature to an overall size of 20 x 14. In fine condition, with overall toning. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
