Jr. was a financial prodigy, and was not only amassing fortune but reputation. With my previous experiences with ‘Money’ I was incredulous but said nothing, and now the curtain’s being raised we see the whole thing revealed. My course in life has been the very reverse of Grant’s.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds and trivial soiling. Accompanied by an unsigned carte-de-visite portrait of Sherman. President Grant’s son had established a brokerage firm with notorious swindler Ferdinand Ward, who ran the firm as a Ponzi scheme.
