American filmmaker (1894–1962) who won the first Academy Award for Direction for his 1927 film Seventh Heaven. Purple ink signature, “Frank Borzage,” on an off-white 4.5 x 5 clipped slip. Also signed by American minister and author Lloyd C. Douglas. In fine condition, with a light spot of soiling. In 1937 Borzage directed Green Light, an adaptation of Lloyd Douglas’s best-selling novel starring Errol Flynn. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
