William McKinley

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 14 x 18.5, January 13, 1900. President McKinley appoints Lorenzo D. Dyer as “First Lieutenant in the Forty-seventh regiment of Infantry United States Volunteers.” Nicely signed at the conclusion by President McKinley and countersigned by Secretary of War Elihu Root. The blue seal affixed to the lower left remains mostly intact. Double-matted and framed with a large color portrait of McKinley to an overall size of 30 x 24.75. In very good condition, with heavy overall creasing and scattered toning (neither affecting the signature area). Oversized. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
