Edwin M. McMillan

American physicist (1907–1991) credited with being the first ever to produce a transuranium element; he shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Glenn Seaborg in 1951. Distinguished glossy 5 x 7 three-quarter length photo of McMillan, signed vertically in blue ballpoint. Reverse bears two University of California photography stamps. In fine condition, with trivial creasing to edges, and a slight paperclip impression and show-through from writing to reverse of top edge. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
