ANS, one page, 6 x 9.5, Hotel Sherman letterhead, no date but circa 1941. Note to Muriel Stafford, in full: “How am I doing? Thought I couldn’t spell eh.” A collector’s notation identifying Lahr is penned in the bottom panel. In very good condition, with slight creasing, spots of soiling and tape-repaired tears to upper portion, and erased pencil notations to upper left. Accompanied by an unsigned photo depicting a scene from the Wizard of Oz. Stafford was a Hollywood graphologist who was compiling handwriting samples for a forthcoming book. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
