Letter of thanks to Mrs. Thompson, in part: “It is with the greatest pleasure that I now write these lines to you to thank you and the Archbishop…for your great kindness to us during our charming and never to be forgotten stay at Bishopthorpe.” In fine condition, with light soiling along folds of the signed page.
