Vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 portrait of Armstrong, signed and inscribed in white ink to fellow songwriter Harry Ruby, “in remembrance of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers at San Francisco Sept. 1940,” adding two bars from ‘Sweet Adeline,’ above his signature, “Composed by Harry Armstrong.” In very good condition, with scattered creasing and soiling, a small tear to right edge, a few small surface indentations, and irregular toning.
