Description

Anthony McAuliffe

United States Army general (1898–1975) who commanded the force defending Bastogne, Belgium, during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. He was famous for his brief reply to a German surrender ultimatum: ‘Nuts!’ Matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait of McAuliffe in his decorated US Army uniform, signed in white ink, “A. C. McAuliffe.” Stamped on the reverse with a caption and US Army credit. In fine condition, with creasing to left edge and upper corners. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
