Bohemian composer and piano virtuoso (1794–1870), whose career after his early years was based initially in London, and later at Leipzig, where he succeeded his friend and sometime pupil Felix Mendelssohn as head of the Conservatoire. Sheet music booklet of Moscheles’s compositions entitled Vier Duette, published in Leipzig by Fr. Kistner, 10 x 12.75, 23 pages, signed and inscribed on the first page in the upper right in black ink and dated 1861. The first and last pages are detached and covers absent. In very good condition, with chipping and toning to edges, scattered soiling, and tape remnants to the detached binding. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
