Grover Cleveland

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15.75 x 19.5, September 12, 1893. President Cleveland appoints Benjamin B. Hyer as “Second Lieutenant of Cavalry in the service of the United States.” Signed at the conclusion by President Cleveland and countersigned by Secretary of War Daniel S. Lamont. The crisply embossed seal affixed to the lower left remains almost entirely intact with slight loss at the bottom. In fine condition, with intersecting folds and trivial spreading to a couple letters of Cleveland’s signature. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
