Rare self-released Downkiddie Records double-sided ‘yellow label’ 45 rpm of The Bangs’s 1981 single for ‘Getting Out of Hand’ / ‘Call On Me,’ signed and inscribed on the front cover in black felt tip, “To Chris, Susanna Hoffs.” In fine condition. The record is included. Of the three different colors that this record was released in—yellow, green, and blue—yellow was the first and rarest label issued. Shortly before releasing their 1982 debut EP, The Real World, The Bangs were forced to change their name to The Bangles when another act using the same name threatened legal action. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Chris Lamy, close friend of The Ramones and guitarist of The Jabbers, formerly GG Allin & The Jabbers. The Chris Lamy Collection. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
