Cordell Hull

American statesman (1871–1955) who served as secretary of state under Franklin Roosevelt for 11 years and who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1945 for his role in establishing the United Nations. Handsome vintage matte-finish 7.5 x 10.75 half-length portrait of Cordell, signed and inscribed in black ink, “To Hon Laurence A. Steinhardt—with high esteem—Oct. 1938, Cordell Hull.” In fine condition, with creasing to lower left corner. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
