ALS signed “George M.,” two pages, 7.25 x 10.5, no date. Letter to Anne, in part: “Yes I know Wm. Cary Duncan quite well. In fact at one time I produced a play of his—I have visited him on several occasions at his house in North Brookfield and while I’m a little ahead of him as far as kid days are concerned we’ve been friends for a number of years. I’ll be glad to get his dog story. He wrote one as I remember several years ago on the same subject. He’s a mighty clever man and mighty nice one to boot. Surprised to learn that you don’t care for football. I thought I was the only living person who didn’t go for it. Well Anne it only goes to prove that we have more in common evidently than we ever dreamed of.
