TLS signed “Duke,” one page, 7.5 x 8.5, no date. Letter to civil rights activist and NAACP executive officer Walter White, in full: “Let me express again, on your twenty-fifth anniversary, the admiration which I have been expressing for the past twenty-five years. I know of few who have rendered such devoted and unstinting service to a casue [sic], as you have to the progress of the Negro people of America. I know that everyone will join with me in the fervent hope that all of us will someday, soon, witness the fianl [sic] realization of your efforts.” Nicely double-matted and framed with a photo of Ellington sitting at his piano to an overall size of 22 x 15. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
