John Lennon’s maternal aunt and guardian (1906–1991). ALS signed “Mimi Smith,” one page, 5.25 x 7, personal Harbour’s Edge letterhead, September 12, 1974. A letter sending along her nephew’s address. In part: “Thank you for your letter. Of course I remember you: Address / John Lennon / 1 West 72nd Street / Apt: 72 / New York 10023. He moves about a lot but this is the address I write to. If he’s not there, letters are sent on to him.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Smith’s hand, as well as a Sandbanks postcard and train ticket stub. Also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL.
