A ledger page accounting for various transactions, including the rental of slaves. In part (spelling and grammar retained): “William S…for the higher of 2 negro fellows february the 12—1829 at 12 Dollars pr month for the two which he promases to returne when cald for and the money when cald for.” Overall toning, scattered stray ink marks and brushes, and show-through from writing to opposing sides, otherwise fine condition.
