Actor (1914–1959) best remembered for his role as Superman in the popular 1950s television series. His homicide at the age of 45 remains one of the great unsolved mysteries of Hollywood lore. Vintage ballpoint signature and inscription, “To Annie, from your friend, George Reeves,” on an off-white 4.75 x 3.5 slip. Also includes a 1934 yearbook from Pasadena Junior College, mentioning the future actor on three pages (210, 220, and 271) as ‘George Bessolo,’ and picturing him on two pages (215 and 230).
