Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut (1721–1793) who was the only man to also sign the Articles of Association, the Articles of Confederation, and the US Constitution. Ink signature, “Roger Sherman, Assistant, Judge of the Sup’r Court,” on an off-white 4 x 1.5 slip clipped from a legal document. In fine condition, with light show-through from writing on reverse. Sherman was a justice of the Superior Court of Connecticut from 1766 to 1789, when he left to become a member of the First US Congress. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA.
