ALS in French, one page on a 4.5 x 5.5 French ‘Carte Pneumatique,’ postmarked June 2, 1913. Letter to her biographer, art critic Achille Segard, in full (translated): “Tomorrow, Tuesday at two, I will be waiting for you so that we can talk. I have many things to show that may interest you, apart from my own works.” Scattered creases, light edge toning, and paper loss to two corners (affecting no writing), otherwise fine condition. In this same year Segard published the monograph Mary Cassatt: Peintre des Enfants et des Meres, which contained a biography of the artist, a list of public and private collections in which her work was held, and a bibliography. A sought-after letter by the influential painter with a close artistic association. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA.
