Nixon of Tennessee as “Marshal of the United States in & for the Eastern District of Tennessee.” Boldly signed at the conclusion by President Cleveland and countersigned by Secretary of State Thomas F. Bayard. The crisply embossed paper seal affixed to the lower left remains fully intact with slight soiling. Handsomely suede-matted and framed to an overall size of 25 x 20.5.
