Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Sandwich,” one page, 13 x 11, March 23, 1780. A naval appointment issued to Richard Willis. In part: “We do hereby constitute and appoint you Fourth Lieutenant of His Majesty’s Ship the Fortitude.” Signed at the conclusion by Sandwich and three other officials.
