Very nice original composite painting of Ace Frehley, gouache on board, 21 x 29, done by Eraldo Carugati. The unsigned painting depicts a full-length image of Frehley in his ‘Space Ace’ persona, with a lighter close-up image in the background, as well as a couple of small planets. Painting is matted to an identical size. In fine condition. It was Carugati who painted the band’s portraits used on their 1978 solo albums, of which Frehley’s was the most successful. In April 2014, Eraldo’s actual painting for the 1978 Peter Criss solo album sold for over $15,000. An impressive portrait done by the artist who produced four of the most iconic Kiss images ever.
