The cel is placed on its matching hand-painted production background. Image measures 9.5 x 6.75, and shows the Grand Duke consoling the King in his office over his impatience for the prince to marry and provide grandchildren, with overall dimensions of 15.5 x 12.5. A handwritten notation along the bottom border reads, “Used in ink 8/30 Margaret.” In fine condition. Key masters from this Disney classic are few and far between. Released in 1950 after over two years in production, Cinderella became the Disney’s biggest critical and financial success since Snow White, helping the studio rebound from the verge of bankruptcy.
