TLS signed “Philippe,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, January 15, 1961. Letter to Joe Roddy of Look Magazine. In part: “The first picture shows Ingrid getting emotionally ready for a scene. She presses her hands against her diaphragm, (will the reader understand which diaphragm I mean?) withdraws from the surrounding and recaptures the mood of the previous take. Second picture shows the shooting of the scene of Ingrid driving and crying. When I looked at the director Litvak, the cameraman Thirard (lower right angle) and his assistant, I noticed that they were almost crying with her…Third set of pictures: Location shot in the Mairie (Town Hall) of the 14th Arrondissement of Paris where Ingrid and Montand marry. She was sitting, waiting for the take, with her husband and her make-up man John O'Gorman. I took a picture of them waiting and looked bored. Suddenly I saw Ingrid's hand moving toward Lars. It found Lars' hand and the two continued to wait for the next scene holding hands.” In fine condition. In 1961, Ingrid Bergman starred in Goodbye Again, along with Yves Montand and Anthony Perkins.
