TLS signed “B. B. Johnson,” one page, 8.5 x 11, American League letterhead, September 21, 1915. Letter to T. L. Huston, co-owner of the New York Yankees. In full: “I received your wire last evening notifying me that you had shaken the dust of Cincinnatti from your shoes and departed for home. I enclose you a telegram received from Mr. Lange. It relates to Piercy, and is self-explanatory.” In very good condition, with overall toning and moderate spreading to signature. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA. Bill Piercy was a pitcher in the Yankees system at the time, and made his debut for the club two years later. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
