Nice collection of four letters, including three ALSs and one TLS, totaling five pages, dated from 1957 through 1967. All letters mention sculptor and author Malvina Hoffman. One, in part: “I am just back from Westport and New Canaan,—after a reading I had promised to give…If I am on a television program I shall notify you. I have to be away so much in September and October I may not fit in with the Clifton Fadiman, Steve Allen programs or any of the others who have talked of having me.” Another, in part: “It is so like you to send me word of your success in saving the life of dear Mrs. Byam. (I feared as I read that the struggle was fatal and am thanking God that you are both alive). Mrs. Byam was very dear to Malvina Hoffman.” In overall fine condition. RR Auction COA.
