Revolutionary War-dated manuscript DS, signed “O. Ellsworth,” one page, 8.25 x 6, January 7, 1777. Pay order reads, in part: “Please to pay Mr. John Tryon…and also…Daniel Clark, 2nd, all being for the purchase and premium on saltpetre and charge the state.” In fine condition, with two horizontal folds, trivial paper loss to left edge, and a couple spots of mild toning.
