Rare and boldly penned AQS on an off-white 4.75 x 7.5 sheet, signed “Harriet Beecher Stowe, Feb. 13 1894.” Stowe pens a quote from Uncle Tom’s Cabin: “I’m going there, she said, to the spirits bright, Tom I’m going before long. Even so, beloved Eva! Fair state of thy dwelling! Though art passing away. Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Chap 22d.” Attractively double-matted and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 17.5 x 14.5. In fine condition, central vertical and horizontal folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature). Quotes from the influential canonical work are rare and exceptionally desirable. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
