Original X-15 wind tunnel nose model, used in testing during the 1950s to test aerodynamic flow over the nose of the X-15. Brass model measures 5.5″ long, and is stamped “0” degrees near the bottom. Accompanied by a 2004 letter of authenticity from Rick Boos which reads, in part: “I…do hereby certify that this historic aerospace artifact is an authentic brass X-15 ‘front end’ wind tunnel test model…Said item was purchased from an estate sale of an aerospace engineer.” In fine condition.
