The former president says “good luck” to a family “of seven boys and four girls”

TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Metropolitan letterhead, October 31, 1916. Letter to Philip W. Marett. In full: “That is such a nice letter of yours that I must write you to thank you for it. Give my warm regards to your wife, the mother of seven boys and four girls.” In a handwritten postscript, Roosevelt adds: “Good luck to all the Marett family!” Central vertical and horizontal folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), overall creases, and light toning to edges, otherwise fine condition.
