Sending apologies for missing “the Dedication of the Daniel Guggenheim Aeronautical Laboratory” at MIT

TLS signed “C. A. Lindbergh,” one page, 7.25 x 7.75, Charles A. Lindbergh c/o the Daniel Guggenheim Fund letterhead, June 25, 1928. Letter to “President Stratton.” In full: “I am very sorry that I was in the West and did not receive your kind letter of May twenty-eighth until long after June fourth, the date of the Dedication of the Daniel Guggenheim Aeronautical Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I thank you for your invitation and am sorry that my absence from the city did not permit a prompt answer.” In fine condition, with horizontal fold through top of signature, a few creases and wrinkles, and a trimmed lower edge.
