French Air Force officer (1898–1980) who commanded the Free French Air Force from July, 1941, to June, 1944. Glossy 6.5 x 8.25 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen in French to Platoon Sergeant Burke and dated May 11, 1962. Photo is affixed to a 9.5 x 13 mount, along with a small caption in the collector’s hand. In fine condition, with some light silvering to darker areas of image, visible only at an angle, and foxing to the mount. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
