Unique hand-colored presentation for a 19-year-old Massachusetts Volunteers captain

Union officer from Massachusetts (1843–1886) who went on to become one of the largest distillers in New England. Attractive and vibrantly-colored engraved lithograph, 18.25 x 22.25, by Forbes and Co. of Boston, presented to Captain Ezra J. Trull. Ornate lithograph lists Trull’s military service, including Cedar Mountain, Spotsylvania, and Petersburg, his regimental badges and stripes, and his six months as a POW at Libby Prison after his capture at Weldon Railroad. Framed to an overall size of 23.25 x 27.25. Some scattered toning and foxing to borders, otherwise fine condition. Oversized. RR Auction COA.
