Rare Christmas card describing an idyllic scene far from Cuba

Christmas card depicting deer in a snowy scene, measuring 7.5 x 6 closed, signed inside by Ernest, “Mary and Papa.” Inside bears a custom pre-printed holiday greeting from the Hemingways, below which Mary penned a note, in full: “We miss you out here—there are deer on the hill behind the house—and ducks on the stream in front—a foot of snow on the ground—abrazos.” In very good condition, with a few creases and moderate overall foxing. Originates from the personal property of Roberto Herrera Sotolongo who was Hemingway’s close friend, part-time secretary, and brother of his Cuban doctor. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
