C. Schenck, London, June 15, 1874,” on an off-white 3.25 x 2 card; ANS in French, signed “L. Gambetta,” on one of his 3.5 x 2.75 visiting cards, no date. An untranslated note to an unidentified recipient; and an original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite portrait of C. H. Gibbs of the US Navy, signed on the reverse in black ink, “Pilot, C. H. Gibbs, U. S.
