Original brad-bound “writer’s working script” for The King and I, 9 x 11.25, 132 pages, dated October 8, 1954. Zanuck has initialled the front cover in pencil, and added a few lines of notes near the bottom, which he has crossed out. He goes on to add several lines to the first page which read, “Molly—compare with stage play—episode by episode,” and “Length—old picture—songs—elephant fight & hunt,” and a couple other notations to the remainder of the script. Expected creasing and edge tears to covers, as well as mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
