Description

Exceptional signed and initialed document for the Denver show during her 1961 tour

DS, three pages, 8.25 x 10.75, August 9, 1961. Agreement between Garland’s Kingsrow Enterprises and Concerts Incorporated for her to perform at the Denver Coliseum during her legendary 1961 tour. Beautifully signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint, “Judy Garland,” and initialed three times throughout the text, “JG,” to approve changes to the contract’s terms. Attractively matted and framed with a portrait of Garland to an overall size of 24.5 x 19.75. In fine condition, with expected document wear. On April 23, 1961, Garland had appeared at Carnegie Hall in what was to become known as ‘the greatest night in show business history’—the performance she signed on for here took place on September 20, 1961. A choice document from this high point later in her career. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
