Description

Stunning Beaton portrait of the Hollywood icon, one of her personal favorites

Vintage matte-finish 9 x 9 photo of Monroe lying down in an off-the-shoulder dress and holding a flower to her chest by Cecil Beaton, taken in 1956, affixed to a 14 x 15 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in black ink, “To Eddie—Love & kisses, Marilyn Monroe.” In very good condition, with some professional well-done cleaning around signature and inscription, some light creases to mount, and a bit of scattered light silvering to darker portions of image.
