Comd’g”; and a Civil War–dated ALS signed “J. G. Foster, Maj. Gen. Comd’g,” one page, lightly-lined, 4.75 x 7.75, Headquarters, Department of the South letterhead, June 6, 1864. Letter to Major Etting of Baltimore.
