Two letters: ALS, signed “Noel,” one page both sides, 5.5 x 8.5, postmarked December 30, 1963. A letter of thanks to Katherine Cornell. In part: “Never has there been such a birthday and Christmas! Practically every present I had was from one or both of you…I loved all the dreadful ones too even that ghastly tape with Hope turning against me like a viper. Fortunately most of the dialogue was so badly delivered and so insufficiently recorded by Nan that much of it escaped me.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed by Coward; and a brief handwritten thank-you note, signed “Noel Coward,” 6 x 4.5, to Mrs. Cooke thanking her for flowers. In fine condition. RR Auction COA.
