An authorization for the secretary of state to affix the Seal of the United States to “a warrant for the remission of the remainder of the sentence of Mary Cady.” Suede-matted and framed with a gold-inlaid, sterling silver portrait plate issued in a limited edition by the Franklin Mint in the early-to-mid 1970s, to an overall size of 27 x 19.5. Intersecting folds, a horizontal fold passing through portion of signature, and some scattered light toning, otherwise fine condition. Oversized.
