Description

Studying political science to keep up with her husband

Original first-generation glossy 7.75 x 8 photo of Jackie taking notes during a political science class at Georgetown, where the other students aspired to careers in government. Reverse of photo bears a Three Lions Inc. stamp and affixed caption. In fine condition, with creasing to corner tips. According to the McCall’s article that published Suero’s photos, Jackie was ‘a remarkably good student. No nonsense about cutting classes because a diplomatic reception kept her out late the night before.’ A rare look at the young woman among her peers, adding the book-smarts to her personal experiences in the world of politics, which her classmates could only dream to learn. Published in Camelot at Dawn, Johns Hopkins University Press, 2001. RR Auction COA. From The Max Lowenherz Collection: for more information click here.
