In part: “I sincerely hope that you will succeed in your efforts to gain the desired promotion. Should any letters referring to you reach me I will, agreeable to your request, forward them to you before answering the same.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature).
