Rare note from a master composer, referencing the renowned cellist

Polish composer (1810–1849) considered one of the great masters of Romantic music. Unsigned autograph note in French, one page, 2.75 x 2, no date. In full: “Mr Franchomme est prie de venir dire bon jour a son ami Baudiot ne´ Cap (a` la boule d’or).” Separated central vertical fold repaired with tape to reverse (some show-through), and light scattered foxing, otherwise very good condition. Auguste Franchomme, a French cellist and composer, was a close friend, and Chopin dedicated his Sonata for Cello and piano in G minor, op. 65 to him. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
