ALS, one page, 7.5 x 9.5, Office of Bass, Cleveland, & Bissell letterhead, March 21, 1876. Cleveland forwards five dollars to a gentleman. In part: “I enclose your draft for five dollars. I should have sent it before but lost your address.” Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 13 x 15. In good condition, with intersecting folds, two through single letters of signature, heavy dampstaining to left and top edges, affecting portions of text and overall appearance, and a vertical crease through another letter of signature. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
